Victorian Mill Extension, Brimpton

A contemporary extension to a traditional style house.

Located right beside a beautiful waterway the main intention of the new extension was to make the most of the beautiful views over the water largely ignored by the existing house.

An uncompromising contemporary design contrasting with complementing the existing style of the house was warmly received by the planners who had great praise for the design.

Large areas of glazing allow undisturbed views over the water and fold back glazed walls allow free flow of space between the new kitchen dining area and the new raised terrace decking. As a personal touch a small external balcony off the kitchen dining area, just large enough for two chairs, has been added in a location specifically contrived to take in the evening sun with a glass of chilled white wine.
