Interior Remodelling Newbury

A typical Victorian house on a dense town centre street …

The original connection to the garden was through a series of independent rooms with the garden access through a door at the very end. The client wanted to unify these areas and create a comfortable contemporary kitchen dining space with an open feel and to have lovely open view of the garden. The garden would connect naturally to the new space thorough a very wide set of folding doors at the dining space.

The challenge here was to conceal the difference in interior levels that previously formed different rooms and also to conceal new structural elements within the walls and ceiling to give an illusion of a single large and open room.
