This new estate house is situated in an enviable position by a river in Burghfield.

Although the house has good accommodation generally the clients wanted to add some drama to the entrance hall and also give the entrance a bold identity from the outside. This was achieved by removing a large part of the existing front wall and replacing with glass.

The entrance hall now has a real ‘wow factor’ being full height and with light flooding in from the outside. A new porch draws attention to the entrance and emphasizes the geometry at the front of the house.

To the rear, a whole corner was removed and replace with frameless glass to create an uninterrupted view of the beautiful riverside from the lounge. Other internal remodelling and interior work was carried out to enhance existing spaces such as the library / dining room shown.
